Install OSX apps and tools

Download and install the following applications, tools, and plugins:

• Firefox - very good web standards support, lots of useful plugins
• Operator plugin for Firefox - see and use all the microformats you browse every day
• Safari Microformats Plugin - similar feature for Safari 3.2.1 or 4 (OSX10.5 only)
• Adium - much better user interface than Apple iChat, all your IM accounts in one app
• Last.fm - stream music by tag, including multiple tags
• Colloquy - IRC is essential for participating in open standards development, and a key CommunicationProtocol
