Movies With Music By Depeche Mode

The goals of this project are two-fold.

Step 1: Document the canonical list of movies that have at least one song by Depeche Mode playing during the movie. It can be a cover.

Step 2: Watch the movies.

The List(s)

Depeche Mode centric videos

I think it makes sense to separate out documentaries, videos etc. that are specifically about Depeche Mode as those are too "obvious". However, listed here for completeness.

The Movies

Chronologically ordered:

  • Modern Girls - But Not Tonight
  • Summer Lovers (1982) - Just Can't Get Enough
  • Dangerously Close (1986) - Stripped, A Question of Lust
  • Modern Girls (1986) - But Not Tonight (Single Remix, Video Version)
  • Bright Lights, Big City (1988) - Pleasure, Little Treasure (Glitter Mix)
  • Earth Girls are Easy (1989) - Route 66 (Nile Rodgers mix) *
  • Say Anything (1989) - Stripped (Live version from 101)
  • The Natural History of Parking Lots (1990) - Never Let Me Down Again
  • Bis ans Ende der Welt (a.k.a. Until The End Of The World) (1991) - Death's Door
  • Space Ghost Coast to Coast (1997) - Home
  • The Wedding Singer (1998) - Just Can't Get Enough (on soundtrack volume 2 per Amazon, need actual movie time index)
  • Not Another Teen Movie (2001) - Never Let Me Down Again covered by Smashing Pumpkins, But Not Tonight covered by Scott Weiland

To Do: Note timeindices for all songs in the movies.
